Falling asleep

The palm of my hand
rest gently on my hip bone
On the border of the
thin blanket
and naked skin
A faint light
peaks into the dark room
The slow breeze
from an obscured fan
softly touches the skin
of my outstretched arm
Lying alone
motionless
in the place
where you should be
Breathing softly
Heartbeat
Slowing
Sleeping
